• Chickadee Yoga + Birth hatched in the summer of 2020 while Chelsea - founder and yoga teacher - was temporarily living in Massachusetts due to the pandemic. The chickadee is the state bird of Massachusetts and is often said to represent courage and curiosity - two qualities that Chelsea believes are supportive to growth and mindfulness at any stage in life.

Chickadee Yoga + Birth’s mission is to partner with, educate, and serve all adults and children through asana (poses), pranayama (breath regulation), meditation and the holistic practice of Ayurveda.

Chelsea hopes to inspire a sense of ease in her clients physically, mentally, and spiritually through the many limbs of yoga.

  • Chelsea delights in working one-on-one with clients through private classes to create a movement plan that is just right for you.

Whether you are new to yoga, supporting an injury, pregnant, postpartum, or simply want to deepen your practice and learn more about yourself, Chelsea is there for you every step of the way to encourage and empower curiosity and ease.

She is a dedicated student in Bhakti-yoga: yoga in the mood of devotion, service to others, and divine love. She is eternally honored and grateful to her teachers in India, at the Bhakti Center, the Sacred Movement Academy, and Stanton Street Yoga in NYC.

With a background in teaching individualized Montessori childhood education for 8 years, over 1000 hours of yoga teaching experience, and 8 years of guiding folks in their yoga practices, Chelsea’s passion is to tailor each class to meet you where you are in the present moment.

In addition to private online and private in person yoga classes in NYC, Chelsea offers a group vinyasa class Wednesdays on Zoom.

Chelsea teaches various styles of yoga to meet your needs: slow flow, restorative, vinyasa, prenatal, postnatal, baby & me, ayurveda - even kids yoga in schools throughout NYC.
